Peggy Foster PEGGY FOSTER - LAUNDRY WASHER A true veteran and treasure of Highland Cleaners is Peggy Foster, one of our laundry washers. She has been with us for over 30 years and her middle name should be "dependable". We know that we can always count on Peggy to load the machines properly, ensuring that each customer's shirt gets just the right amount of starch? or no starch at all? to suit their needs. Peggy uses color-coded bags to separate the shirts with no starch (green bags) from the shirts with light or medium starch (white bags) from the shirts with heavy starch (red bags). If shirts need heavy starch, Peggy dips them in a bucket by hand. She takes pride in every aspect of her job. "When I do my work, I do the best I can," said Peggy. I'm not going to put it out there unless it is the best. I like my job. I'm proud of the way that I do it, the way I shake my shirts and put them on the floor and the way they look when I get through with them." |
