Listings / Wendy Norris WENDY NORRIS - LAUNDRY SUPERVISOR Teamwork is the number one thought behind Wendy Norris's approach to her job as laundry supervisor for Highland Cleaners. "We pitch in. We're a little team," she said. "The first thing I do each morning is check to make sure all of my employees are here. If someone is out, I take over that spot for that day. If everyone is here, I help out where I'm needed." One of the first people to arrive in the morning and the last to leave in the evenings, Wendy supervises 12 people and works as a team leader with Rosalind Cotton. She has been with us for over 10 years and started as an inspector in the laundry department. She then moved to pressing pants and lab coats. Wendy has worked as laundry supervisor for over 5 years. Perfect pressing still holds a high place in her idea of a job done right and she said it is one of the things she watches for in her department. "If I see someone walking down the street with nicely pressed clothes, I'll think, 'Maybe we cleaned that person's clothes."
