Highland Cleaners is pleased to announce the acquisition of Dry Cleaning Delivered, a delivery only service that operates in many east end neighborhoods including Hurstbourne, Lake Forest, and many parts of Oldham County.
Highland Cleaners was featured on Spectrum News, Channel 1, in a piece about the effects of the pandemic on certain industries. The dry-cleaning business has been particularly challenged by the pandemic, as well as the lack of people wearing dry-clean-only clothing to work, worship, and to celebrate in groups.
For the eighth consecutive year, Highland Cleaners was awarded the Partners in Philanthropy award from Louisville Business First. Once again, the many philanthropic contributions of Highland Cleaners to the city of Louisville were recognized in this award.
Highland Cleaners is committed to remaining open for our thousands of loyal customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Highland Cleaners has been designated an essential business by the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force because the dry cleaning and laundry practices we employ kill the Coronavirus on fabrics. Unlike many of our competitors who have chosen to temporarily close their doors, we are committed to being Louisville’s DEPENDABLE partner for your clothing care.
Highland Cleaners is pleased to announce the acquisition of Masterpiece Dry Cleaners, a delivery only service that operates in several East end neighborhoods including Prospect, Indian Hills, St. Matthews, and the Highlands. Masterpiece owner Bud Windhorst states, “I am excited about our partnership with Highland Cleaners, because we can now deliver their legendary quality to our many customers.”
When Highland Cleaners was founded in 1944, delivery service was available to residents of the Highland neighborhood. By the mid 1950’s, Highland Cleaners had three trucks on the road every day to service customer needs. In the late 1980’s, this service was discontinued as Highland Cleaners opened branches throughout the east end of Louisville.
